The overall experience at Mickie Finnz Fish House and Bar in Las Vegas was good, but the food was a bit bland for my taste. I gave it a 4-star rating because it didn't stand out compared to other similar restaurants I have visited. I would consider stopping here again if I was hungry, but wouldn't go out of my way to do so. The atmosphere was great, the service was excellent, and the drinks were top-notch. It's a nice, laid-back spot on Fremont. The lobster machine was a fun touch, although the lobsters seemed less than thrilled about being picked up that night.
During a recent visit to Las Vegas, my dining companions and I had the pleasure of dining at 8East, a restaurant that has quickly become a must-visit spot in the city. The open kitchen concept immediately caught our attention, giving us a behind-the-scenes look into the culinary magic happening in the restaurant. Our culinary adventure began with the short rib dumplings, which set a high standard for the rest of the meal. The tender and flavorful dumplings paired perfectly with the zesty horseradish cream sauce, creating a memorable dish. Next up were the stir-fried green beans with ground chicken, a dish that exceeded our expectations with its mix of textures and flavors. It was clear that the chefs at 8East could take simple ingredients and turn them into something extraordinary. The real star of the meal, however, was the brisket fried rice. Packed with savory goodness, each bite was a delight and reinforced why this dish is a favorite among patrons at 8East. The portion sizes at 8East deserve special mention - perfect for sharing, they allowed us to sample a wide variety of flavors and made our dining experience diverse and satisfying. Beyond the delicious food, the bustling yet harmonious atmosphere at 8East made our visit truly memorable. The hard work and dedication of the chefs and servers added an extra layer of appreciation for our meal. I want to give a special shoutout to our server and bartender, Jimmy, whose exceptional service significantly enhanced our dining experience. Friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable about the menu, Jimmy’s passion for ensuring his guests are happy was evident throughout our meal. In conclusion, 8East is more than just a restaurant - it’s a culinary experience that brings people together over great food. Whether you're a local or just passing through Vegas, this dining destination is one you won't want to miss, with exceptional service provided by Jimmy and the whole team.
During our stay at the Westgate, we visited International Bar a few times. The first experience was pleasant, with a friendly and attentive Asian server. However, during our second visit, we were taken aback by the rudeness of the bartender named Art, an older man with an accent. He was unfriendly to us and disrespectful to the staff. Additionally, the drinks he made were watery and unappetizing.
Public House at Luxor is a good spot to enjoy bar food and beers while catching some football games on TV. The wings and chicken nachos are particularly tasty, though the ribs are just okay. With a wide selection of beers and other alcoholic beverages, there is something for everyone, but nothing really stands out on the menu. The service is decent, especially considering how busy the place can get. Overall, a solid option for a casual meal and drinks in Vegas.
Juniper Cocktail Lounge is hands down the top cocktail lounge in Las Vegas. I have yet to find another one that even comes close. The bartenders here are all excellent and the drinks they craft are truly exceptional. As someone who works in the industry, I can be hard to impress, but the cocktails at Juniper not only look incredible, but they taste amazing as well. Some of my favorites include the Little Birdie, the Green chartreuse/mint drink (the one with flames), and the smoked old fashioned. It's a shame that they close two days a week, otherwise I would definitely be back for more. This has become my go-to spot during my trips to Vegas, and it never disappoints. If you're looking for a cocktail that's worth the price tag, Juniper is the place to go. consistently impressive every time.
