International Bar

I recently spent 10 days at a resort in Las Vegas, and the music at the International Bar was absolutely outstanding, especially the live band. Although the bar was bustling, it took quite some time—over five minutes—to catch a bartender's attention, even with the use of a walker. Once a bartender finally noticed me, he informed me that he couldn't make an Amaretto Sour as requested, but his improvised version turned out to be delightful! We also sampled a few other drinks: the Hound Dog, Blue Suede Shoes, and a strawberry-based one. Personally, I found the Hound Dog to be the best. However, the Blue Suede Shoes missed the mark and could use a recipe overhaul, as it was quite disappointing.

We visited International Bar at the Westgate a couple of times during our stay. Our first experience was fantastic; the sweet Asian bartender was attentive and friendly. However, our second visit left us shocked by the rudeness of a different bartender, an older gentleman with an accent, possibly named Art. He was not only unfriendly to us but also disrespectful to his colleagues. Additionally, the drinks he served were watery and unappetizing.

Whether the bar is crowded or empty, the staff seem unable to manage the business effectively. Guests are frequently not greeted, and players often go without drink offers. On the rare occasions when service is provided, it is delivered with a clear sense of annoyance. The cleanliness of the bar is appalling, with old empty glasses and ashtrays left uncleared. Typically, bar video poker is a favored pastime, but the subpar service and unsanitary conditions make it practically unfeasible here.
