First off the lady was friendly and her service was great! Unfortunately the food wasn’t the greatest. I love quick Chinese food. But the rice was bland, the noodles were bland as well. The beef and broccoli had weird hard chunks in it and my wife had orange chicken that was chewy and noticeably old. The shrimp cocktails tasted very old. I personally did like the teriyaki chicken until I bit into some nasty stuff in it. Wouldn’t go back but I’m glad it was cheap.
The venue is decent and spacious, but the VIP experience was terrible. It was advertised with cocktails and bottle service, but no one came around to take our drinks or check on us. Also, it got ridiculously HOT in that area, and they did have a huge fan, but it was facing the security guard downstairs the whole time, no type of air circulation or extra fans available. The main thing that bothered me was the heat. If not, it would have been worth the $50 per person.
A bit on the pricey side, but so is everything else in Encore/Wynn. Only the hotel rooms are reasonably priced considering their quality. The cafe has all the breakfast goodies until 11, but I never got something that I liked much. Quality and taste were ok. The yogurt and acaí station ends at 11am but sometimes they take them out of the order window earlier and you have to know about them to order one. Juices and fruits are good, but again pricey. Latte is mediocre and feels super light because of the amount of foam (to their credit I could ask for a flat drink). All in all, a convenient option but not the best and there's usually a long line during the weekends.
Friendly but slower service, waited quite a while to be served a watery martini that had ice chunks floating in it.
Good experience! Very clean, quiet room, very comfortable bed, nice clean shower. Nice sized TV. Lots of counter space to place your things on. Blow dryer and iron/ironing board in room. Fun casino downstairs. Good food court for snacks. Convenience store on site. Great location!! Close to many other hotels/casinos and the monorail. Took away one star because the check in process is kind of chaotic, long lines! Not a luxury hotel, but if you're looking for a comfortable place to sleep in the middle of a lot of the action on the strip, the Horseshoe is a great choice. Would stay here again.
