Golf at 12pm. It was hot, but acceptable. Pricing is reasonable for non residence. Course is very well maintain. It is a smaller par course which we knew before decided to come for a round. Quite enjoyed the golf play.
Honestly after reading some of the reviews (to get an idea of what to do first and what not) after buying my tickets I kind of had regrets but there will always be people who will complain about everything no matter what. Parking is 10$ for the day. Locker is 12$ for the day. Specific day pass was 24$ per person. 2 older children. One year old. And 2 adults. Children under two are free(I didn’t know this nor does it say it when buying on line) lost a star because of this. Souvenir cup was $25. unlimited free refills. A lot of the staff that we spoke to super friendly, nobody was passive aggressive or unknowledgeable. Unfortunately, they had to close the park in the afternoon due to thunderstorms but it quickly past and re opened. Pools were clean. I don’t understand why people would complain about a little chlorine smell here and there(there are thousands of people going in and out of that water(not to mention the amount of people who urinate in the water)) at least they are trying to keep it clean. Lines for the rides were less than 30 minutes, or none at all to where we could get on over and over again. We picked a nice little spot next to the wave pool. Nobody messed with our stuff. Not a lot of umbrellas to keep in the shade but a lot of chairs available. (Wish they could provide complementary sunblock) spent 20$ on it and luckily I didn’t forget it. It was 115°. We had to all reapply 3 to 5 times throughout the day to not get to burned.
Perhaps I'm being a bit harsh but there really isn't anything special about Oak+Violet. The food is okay at best. Nothing screams freshness or character. They're all down the middle, and it is passable food. But then one wonders about the mid-high price point and whether it is worth it. The atmosphere is "happening" and feels like a modern industrial yet cozy garden. I really wanted the food to be at the same level of vibe. But again it just feel flat. Go to this place for a date night, for the mood, and to liven up your evening. Just don't expect magic. Wagyu steak was bland. Pulled lamb had zero character. Beef tartar... just mushy. Strawberry salad was quite good but couldn't save the day.
Front desk: lady has a hard time understanding some things like: we needed 2 rooms on the same floor and we didn’t mind the number of beds or the size in the rooms, but she kept insisting there was no rooms in a king size bed near each other. Rooms: VERY loud traffic heard from in your room. The windows need to be more sealed or double paned. Seems like they just renovated so it smells new. Food: Ate at the buffet a few times and their food was exceptional. Casino: still is very smoky. Parking: is still stinky and super sketchy. Watch your surroundings.
Super cool and amazing history museum of the MOB. You can easily spend hours here reading and seeing everything they have. Well worth the money. To start out with you, you will need to pay for parking outside. I believe it was like $8-$10. Once inside, you will be asked if you want the basic tour $30 or the premier $48. I suggest the premier for the full experience. It gets pretty busy during the afternoon, so I will suggest going really early or late past 5 pm. There is like 3 or floors with different things to see and experience. Make sure to check out the underground speakeasy on the bottom floor and try out their unique drinks. You can also grab a bite to eat there as well. Overall it was an amazing experience. Love it all. Definitely coming back and bringing my friends to it.
Loved the elevator grand entrance, did not expect that at all. Very nice touch. The Ambiance and the views are amazing. This is what a lounge should be like. Great customer service from Alma (host) and our server. The drinks were on point. Its definitely RECOMMENDED Thank you to the wholestaff of Skyfall lounge.
First dim sum I tried in Las Vegas. It’s satisfying, be it the price and the quality . We ordered 6 plates of dim sum, just nice for 3 of us , cost us $55 (before gratuity). The tea charges is really friendly - $1 per person, with variety of tea choices like Pu Er and my favourite Sau Mei (not a popular tea but it taste good ). The restaurant located inside the casino, without any signboard outside the building . We walked approx 30m to the left of the casino entrance , went in the building , Ping Pang Pong is right in front after passing through the slots machines .
There was some hype about this lounge on social media, so my husband and I decided to get a drink here. We were also staying at the Palazzo, so it was super convenient. We ordered their signature old fashioned and it was honestly pretty mediocre. Nothing special about this place. Oh well...
