To rent a hotel room in Vegas in 2023 and NOT have more than ONE outlet that is convenient for charging devices, is ridiculous. Especially we when you pay unnecessary "resort fees". Otherwise, the Golden Nugget lived up to its reputation. We thoroughly loved Cadillac Bar and Cantina. Delicious drinks, and apps. The pool looked amazing, but it was way over crowded. Probably a perfect spot during the week. Overall the Carson tower room were comfortable, But again, the lack of plugs is ridiculous in this day and age. We can't wait for next year and we'll definitely stay at the Golden Nugget again!
The food here is phenomenal and any of these reviews that say otherwise are just people who naturally complain. The appetizers were fantastic. We had lobster thermadore served with a puff pastry. Perfect. A half dozen oysters which were delicious and fresh. But the appetizer star is the grilled octopus which I would come back and order again. For dinner my husband and I split a filet and ordered a grilled lobster on the side. They were accommodating and it was enough for both of us. Our party all had steaks. The crust on the outside is so well done. For sides we had creamed spinach, puréed potatoes and Mac and cheese. All amazing. I wish the wine list had more price friendly options but hey it’s Vegas. Would eat here again. Our total dinner for six was just over $ and worth every penny.
We made a mistake by going here for breakfast instead of lunch. I wanted to try their Sheperd's Pie. Overall their breakfast was good! Hardy. BUT GOOD! I got the Irish Egg Benedict and their house fries. Loved it. My friends got a parfait and all Irish breakfast which has 5 different meat sausage on the plate with eggs.
Late night meal at Lucky Penny. Great experience. Enjoyed a chicken quesadilla and ‘American’ breakfast combination and coffee. Our food was great - prepared just right, served hot, coffee was very good, served with plenty of creamer. Our server was attentive, responsive, friendly. Enjoyable atmosphere and outstanding dessert display. Our server reports Green Valley Ranch has a pastry chef. Based on desserts on display he or she is skilled and creative. Good air quality in the dining area in spite of being near a gaming area where smoking is permitted. The ‘Lucky Penny’ is a spacious restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere and plenty of seating.
They have a couple of gluten free options! Tried the chia pudding and the shrimp tacos. Both were delicious but if you’re only getting one thing definitely try the tacos. The service and ambiance were nice but when I come back it’ll be for the shrimp tacos.
The food was so good, we loved our steak. The green beans were good, and the garlic they cooked with it was unbelievable. We never liked garlic, but we were able to eat some of them. We didn't pay $10/person to sit next to the windows, but they seated us on the next row, and we can have the street view too. They are pricey restaurants, and we don't mind paying for good food, but paying for seating is not reasonable to me. That's why i took 1 star off. We wanted to check out every Steakhouse on the strip. We started at Mandalay Bay, went north, crossed the street, and headed south. I think we have almost finished our journey.
This is a great spot inside Resorts World to get delicious cocktails and enjoy a fun vibe. I had the Strawberry Bellini and my husband had a mule. Both were fantastic; prices seem to be on par with most Vegas bars.
Absolutely a great place to eat. The staff is funny, the place is nice, the environment is amazing. Fountains, bridges, a gong. The food is awesome and did not disappoint. Our waitress Nancy was hilarious. She’s a big reason for the 5 star. Smiles all around. Eat here!
I went to the 4:30 to 6pm rib eye special for $8.99, it's worth every penny! This is a must if you go to Fremont Street. You get rib eye, baked potato, and steamed veggies, a perfect combo. With the food so low cost, the server got a good tip. They deserve it, the place is super busy, but extremely effective, had my food in 7 minutes. Be careful, the horseradish is hot.
Played an early morning round, and they had the sprinklers on the first 12 holes I played. I played with a member who said this is the norm. A few of the greens were unapproachable unless I wanted a shower. Picked up on a few holes due to this. Complained to the clubhouse. Pretty boring layout with some odd hole designs. Bunkers were wet, rocky, or full of weeds. So many better options at this price point.
