I recently watched the Superbowl at Eyecandy and had a less than ideal experience. The TV displayed a download message and went black, causing a significant delay compared to other TVs in the casino. It was disappointing and frustrating.
Not at all what I would expect from a Waldorf property. The furniture was dated, curtains dusty, bed uncomfortable, and the nickel and diming was a disappointment. I would not recommend this spa. There are certainly many nicer properties at a similar price point on the strip. Additionally, it was surprising that room service stops at 10pm in Las Vegas.
I recently stayed at the MGM Grand for four days and had a fantastic time. I was fortunate to receive a complimentary spa suite room with waived resort fees, as well as $75 in free play and $100 credit for food and beverages. The room was spacious and immaculately clean, with all amenities, including the jacuzzi, in perfect working order. The staff at the hotel and casino were friendly and always available to assist. I also had luck with winning money during my visit, adding to the positive experience. Additionally, I had the pleasure of seeing the David Copperfield show, which was truly epic. It's worth noting that all hotel rooms at the MGM Grand are non-smoking, with sensors in place to enforce this policy. Smoking is allowed on the casino floor, but hefty fines apply if caught smoking in the rooms. While prices for various items at the hotel can be on the higher side, this is common throughout the Vegas strip. Overall, I highly recommend staying at the MGM Grand if you're planning a visit.
The drinks at Ringer Wings, Pizza & Sliders Sports Book in Las Vegas were good, but I found them to be overpriced. A dark and stormy and a double crown cost me $55, which I felt was too much for what I got.
