Hong Kong Cafe at the Palazzo hotel is a great spot for some comforting Cantonese-style Chinese food. Whether you're looking for a late night snack or a quick meal after a night out in Vegas, this casual eatery delivers solid dishes. The service is fast and efficient, making it a convenient option for a quick bite to eat.
The new manager, Eric, at Charcoal Room at Palace Station is an amazing addition to the restaurant. Every visit starts with a warm greeting from him, and the staff always seems happy to be there. The bartender, Carrie, makes sure to stop by and say hello, and the food is consistently top-notch. Ramon even goes above and beyond by giving extra pretzel bread. I always order the steak tartare and a bottle of Justin wine. I would highly recommend this restaurant with a 10 out of 10 rating. Make sure to visit Tuesday through Saturday to meet Eric, the general manager. You won't be disappointed!
The Circus Circus Splash Zone and Pool in Las Vegas features 2 pools, slides, a small hot tub, and a splash pad area. Despite being popular, the pools could benefit from being larger to accommodate the crowds. The staff were friendly and helpful, and made an effort to keep the area clean, although some trash was still present, like false eyelashes and balls of hair. The pool closing at 7pm may seem early on hot days, and it would be nice if they extended their hours. Smoking, eating, and drinking are allowed around the water. Arrive early to secure a chair in the shade.
Our recent stay at The Cal in Las Vegas was mostly enjoyable, but we encountered a rude front desk staff member during check-in. Despite this unpleasant interaction, the rest of our stay was fine and the other staff members were friendly and helpful. We hope to stay again in the future, just hoping to avoid the same check-in experience.
Overall, my recent stay at The Strat in Las Vegas was fantastic. The hotel is conveniently located just 15 minutes from the airport, making it easy to get to. I appreciated that there were plenty of activities available in the hotel beyond just gambling. However, it was disappointing that there was no mini fridge in the room. If that had been included, I would have given The Strat a perfect rating.
The pool at Boulder Station in Las Vegas is a fantastic modern casino with a unique old style railroad station theme. The food options are excellent, with a newly renovated sports bar offering a full menu and plenty of screens for sports enthusiasts. Guests have several restaurant choices and a variety of classic and new slot machines to enjoy. The hotel offers easy access to the highway and rooms are quiet with 24/7 live elevator security.
Hidden Oasis! The Waterfall Pool at JW Marriott is a great spot for locals looking to escape the crowds of the strip during the summer months. The pool is clean, has a relaxing waterfall feature, allows for toys and floating devices, and offers a menu of food and beverages for purchase. Cabanas can be reserved for special events for an additional fee. With a reasonable entry fee for locals, it's the perfect staycation just minutes away from home.
