This is one of the coolest things I’ve done. Skydiving, hot air balloon riding, all sorts of fun things, and this experience was pretty top notch. Sal was our guide and was definitely a large part in why the day was such a success. He was constantly sharing environmental and history knowledge with us. Amazing. The hot springs, scenery, and wildlife were remarkable and exceeded our expectations. My husband and our 8 year old were on a tandem kayak, our 17 year old and I paddled solo. Each one of us voted this as our favorite day of vacation. I can’t encourage you enough to say yes to this, and spring for the 12 mile trip! It’s hard work, but so worth it. (If you’re going in the winter, wear your suit under layers of warm, water resistant layers and get some neoprene socks for your water sandals.)
I don't know where all the negative reviews are coming from, but we had a fabulous time! The staff were all SUPER nice, they were very welcoming and accommodating, we booked a daybed right next to the main pool, which was even better than we expected, it was an L-shaped spacious lounge/sofa with cubbies underneath, very comfortable, a table with storage space and a big umbrella for ample amounts of shade, plenty of towels and ice, and the service was seriously top notch, they treated us like princesses. We got there at about 12:30pm and stayed until around 6:30pm, we liked the size of the venue, it wasn't too big. The servers were all very sweet and attentive, as were the bus boys. The fruit platter was presented beautifully, the pitchers of cocktails and spritzers were refreshing. We were there for DJ LEMA last Friday which we thoroughly enjoyed. We would definitely come back, it was worth every penny, and your payment goes towards credit for any F&B that you order. We were so happy with the whole experience that we tipped extra. Booking a daybed or lounge/sofa is definitely the way to go for 2-5 people for a comfortable amount of space.
Probably the best Christmas dinner I've ever had in my lifetime. The pork belly literally melted in your mouth and the spicy cumbers with almonds is a must have. The staff was amazing and gave some excellent recommendations.
Better than expected. They have a replica Main Street with six full-size houses from different eras of our valley. They have a small train yard with real train cars. Also little outdoor walking paths. And an indoor museum. All for $2 per person.
I decided to try this place as an alternative to the long wait at the oyster bar at Palace Station, and I'm glad I did. The raw oysters here matched the freshness and flavor of those I've had before, which was a pleasant surprise. While the lobster pan roast didn't quite hit the mark of being the best I've tasted, it was still quite enjoyable. The real standout, however, was the clam steamer, which exceeded my expectations and was even more delightful than the rest.
Mizumi is one of my go to spots in Vegas. The restaurant offers different styles of Japanese cuisine - from omakase, robatayaki, sushi, and teppanyaki. The food in itself is quite solid - from their sashimi to their specialty sushi rolls. I also love their Sakura Cocktail. I will note that some menu items are definitely more “worth it” than others. For example, in my opinion, you can skip on the Crown Honeydew Melon, which goes for $28. If you are not a huge “fruit” person, it probably will not be your cup of tea. Certain items (like that of their Chocolate Mask) are no longer on their menu. This item was discontinued a few years ago. Apparently due to the grotesque nature of breaking the mask and a red berry sauce seeping out. However, really hope they bring this dessert item back! Overall, Mizumi is a solid restaurant - when it comes to ambience and food. If you are able to get an early reservation, I would recommend that you ask for a table by their koi pond outside.
Circus Circus Las Vegas is a unique blend of casino, circus, and family vacation spot. The moment you step in, you’re greeted by the lively casino floor and the unmistakable sounds of slot machines. But what sets Circus Circus apart is its family-friendly offerings. The Adventuredome, an indoor theme park, is a highlight with rides and attractions for all ages. The daily live circus shows are a delight, especially for children. The Midway arcade, with its variety of games, adds to the fun-filled atmosphere. The rooms, while not the most modern, are comfortable and clean. Dining options are plentiful, with everything from quick bites to sit-down restaurants. The buffet is a good value with a wide selection of dishes. On the downside, the hotel is a bit far from the heart of the Strip, which might be a concern if you plan to visit other attractions frequently. However, there is a bus stop nearby, and taxis are readily available. Overall, if you’re looking for a budget-friendly, family-oriented stay in Vegas, Circus Circus is a solid choice.
