Mizumi | Las Vegas Restaurants

Located at Wynn Las Vegas is a world-class dining experience with a beautifully decorated Japanese garden and koi pond. Executive chef, Min Kim, created a culinary experience for his guests to never forget. There are a few rooms in Muzumi, however, one, in particular, stands out. The teppanyaki room is a place guests can enjoy the teppan experience alongside a 90-foot waterfall. Also, the communal grill tables make this dining experience fun and engaging. A couple of the must-try signature dishes are the Toothfish saikyo-yaki and sashimi usuzukuri. If you choose Mizumi, prepare for an incredible outdoor dining experience like no other.

Our experience at Mizumi was so fantastic that we ended up booking a second night during our trip to Vegas. Despite some negative reviews, I decided to give it a try due to my high standards for food in this price range, and I am so glad I did. The fish was incredibly fresh, the dishes were flavorful, and the presentation was beautiful. The Japanese uni and chirashi were especially memorable. The staff, including our attentive waiter, went above and beyond by preparing some of our food table side and answering all of our questions with enthusiasm and expertise on the different dishes and their preparation.

Mizumi is one of my go to spots in Vegas. The restaurant offers different styles of Japanese cuisine - from omakase, robatayaki, sushi, and teppanyaki. The food in itself is quite solid - from their sashimi to their specialty sushi rolls. I also love their Sakura Cocktail. I will note that some menu items are definitely more “worth it” than others. For example, in my opinion, you can skip on the Crown Honeydew Melon, which goes for $28. If you are not a huge “fruit” person, it probably will not be your cup of tea. Certain items (like that of their Chocolate Mask) are no longer on their menu. This item was discontinued a few years ago. Apparently due to the grotesque nature of breaking the mask and a red berry sauce seeping out. However, really hope they bring this dessert item back! Overall, Mizumi is a solid restaurant - when it comes to ambience and food. If you are able to get an early reservation, I would recommend that you ask for a table by their koi pond outside.

Everything is shareable which is great because you get to try many things! My favorite was a sea bass dish we ordered (not pictured) I could have eaten that 3X. I love that they had non alcoholic mixed drinks that were truly delicious because I enjoy crafted drinks but I’m not a fan of alcohol. Everything was presented beautifully, the service was great and the atmosphere is a vibe with its open concept and huge window looking at the waterfall. I went for a business meeting but it’s a perfect place for a date or a dinner with friends as well. Probably a wonderful experience for a family dinner if there aren’t any little kids in the group!

I took my wife here the first night we arrived on our 6 day stay at the Wynn. We were a little underwhelmed. Firstly we had asked for a table on the terrace but was told of the minimum spend per head which was very high. Appreciate this is simply their policy but it is a shame they start pricing out people the view! The food was ok - robatakyi very tasty but the sushi a bit bland. They also didn’t have the veal cheek available. Service was friendly, our table wasn’t great as one of us was staring at a wine cupboard and the atmosphere was good. I hear they are shutting for a refurbishment and relaunch… I think it needs it.

Food was very high quality and delicious, I would absolutely go again. The menu was expansive and a bit overwhelming but our server did a nice job making recommendations and giving us an enjoyable experience. An Omakase or curated menu would have been welcomed. The drinks were interesting but not the highlight. The red and gold embellishments made the dining room feel like a different world and the waterfall was a beautiful backdrop to dinner. I would have appreciated the restaurant enforcing their dress code. I saw people in tshirts and sweatpants having dinner - but that's Vegas.

We made a reservation for 6:30 and were seated promptly. Since this was our first time at Mizumi we let our waiter guide our order based on a tentative budget and personal food preferences. All of his recommendations were wonderful and it was some of the best food I’ve ever had. Pricey? Yes, but when you want excellent quality, you usually pay for it. 10 out 10 would recommend!
