The Welcome to Las Vegas sign is a must-see if you're in town. We decided to walk down to it, but there's also a convenient car park nearby if you prefer to drive. There are two options for getting your picture taken. One person at the front of the queue offers to take pictures on your phone, with the option to leave a tip if you'd like. The other gentleman uses a professional camera set up and offers to email you the pictures for a fee. He was able to capture some beautiful shots of two newly married couples while we were there. The queue is for those who want a front-on shot with no one else in the picture. For side shots, you can take them whenever there is a break between groups. Just be aware that these shots will be at a 45-degree angle to the sign. When it was our turn, I was able to take some great photos of my son and then set up my phone on a tripod for some shots together. The whole experience was fun, and the 25 minutes we waited went by quickly as we watched others posing creatively under the sign. Overall, the experience is what you make of it. There was no pressure to pay for the gentleman's services, and he even complimented me on being prepared. It's a fun and iconic stop in Las Vegas that shouldn't be missed.
This was my first time at Blue Moon Bar and I was impressed with the location. The customer service was top-notch and we had a great experience celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary vow renewal here. While the drinks were a bit pricey, they were definitely worth it. I would highly recommend this spot to others.
Guadalajara in Las Vegas was even better before the pandemic when they had an awesome salsa bar. It's disappointing that Covid took away the salsa bar and buffets. However, the food is still great, especially with some excellent Happy Hour and Lunch specials.
I recently visited Orleans Bowling Center in Las Vegas to watch my friends bowl. The facility is spacious and well-lit, much better than another bowling center I visited in the East Valley a few years ago. The staff at Orleans Bowling Center were sufficient in number and helpful when needed. There were a few minor pin resets needed, but nothing unexpected. Overall, I had a positive experience at Orleans Bowling Center and may add more details in a future update.
The show at Hitzville! Motown Review in Las Vegas is a fun throwback to the Motown era. Jin-Jin Reeves and her group bring a lot of energy and have wonderful voices. They are truly a talented group of performers. Whether you are a visitor or a local, be sure to check them out.
Average hotel cafe food paired with obvious management issues. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that the staff was not particularly enthusiastic about being there. It took a while for our waiter to take our order, and he seemed in a rush to move on to the next table. Service was lackluster overall. The staff as a whole appeared disinterested and lacking in hospitality. Shortly after being seated, I was rudely told not to move my head by an accented server carrying a full tray past me. Not the warmest welcome. As if on cue, the manager made an appearance during our meal and simply frowned at my empty drink glass before disappearing into the back. The server quickly refilled my drink and hurried off to take another order. When a manager is critical and unhelpful, it creates a negative atmosphere for the staff and customers alike. It's no surprise that the employees didn't seem thrilled to be there.
