We recently dined at Carlos' n Charlie's in Las Vegas, conveniently located in the Flamingo hotel on Las Vegas Blvd. The restaurant is situated just a few steps away from the hotel lobby check-in. The menu offers a variety of delectable dishes, and our server was incredibly helpful and friendly in assisting us with our selections. For our meal, we opted for the chicken tacos, rice and beans, and a savory cheeseburger. They also have a kids menu featuring delicious burgers and fries, along with a choice of strawberry, vanilla, or chocolate ice cream. The total bill for our party of four came out to approximately $100, which we found to be reasonable given the location on the strip. Overall, we had a great dining experience at Carlos' n Charlie's and would definitely recommend it to others.
For the price of nearly $300 a night on a Saturday at NoMad in Las Vegas, one would expect a peaceful room, comfortable bed, and a good night's sleep. Unfortunately, these expectations were not met during my stay. The hotel room faced east, overlooking a noisy roof below and Las Vegas Blvd. The windows did little to block out the constant noise, even with earplugs. The mattress was very firm with minimal comfort, leaving me feeling uncomfortable. The room was filled with various electronics emitting bright lights, including a distracting flashing light on the wall. The furnishings and decor appeared cheap and more reminiscent of a Victorian brothel than a chic vintage New York or Europe vibe. Overall, I was disappointed with my experience at NoMad and would not recommend staying there.
My partner and I visited Bottiglia Cucina & Enoteca for a Valentine's Day dinner. The food was absolutely delicious, each ingredient coming together in perfect harmony to create a flavorful masterpiece. The service was impeccable, with our drinks being refilled promptly without even having to ask. Our waiter was polite, professional, and made our experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere at the restaurant was lively and uplifting. I would give it four stars, mainly due to the energetic live music that was being played. While the music was great, depending on where you sit, it could be a bit loud. For a quieter dinner, I suggest requesting a seat away from the live music. Overall, our experience was fantastic, and I am definitely looking forward to returning soon!
The Mob Museum in Las Vegas is a fantastic experience that is definitely worth a visit. The museum is filled with great displays and offers a rich history of organized crime. We spent around three hours exploring the museum, but could have easily spent more time there. There are numerous videos scattered throughout the museum that enhance the overall experience. One of the highlights was listening to a former organized crime member share his story, including wearing a wire against his own father. We are already planning to return to explore the museum further, attend some events, and visit the distillery. We found parking in their paid lot right next to the museum, which was convenient.
