My experience at Veranda Bar for Thanksgiving was excellent. The customized holiday menu offered a variety of delicious options, including beet carpaccio and seared scallops that were fantastic. The pumpkin soup was tasty, although it was served in an unconventional glass jar. The turkey dish we ordered was satisfying, but the surf and turf option also caught our eye. There was a slight delay in service between the soup and main course, but overall the staff was attentive. I am eager to return and explore their regular menu offerings.
The food at Canonita was quite amazing. The salmon and risotto were delicious, and the ahi tuna appetizer was beautifully presented and tasty. My friend enjoyed the pork wrapped in banana leaf. The chips were nothing special, but they were decent. If you make reservations, you may be able to sit by the water. However, we were taken aback by the restaurant's billing method. Each of us received separate checks, but the recommended tip amount on both receipts covered the total service for our entire table, not just our individual meals. It felt more like a sneaky trick than transparent customer service, which slightly tainted our experience.
I ordered the half chicken with fries and coleslaw at Hooters Restaurant in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, the chicken was not grilled well as it was still pink on the inside. The fries were not crispy either, as it seemed like they were not fried long enough. The coleslaw was just alright. It appeared that the kitchen staff may have been in a hurry while preparing my dinner.
