Lee Canyon is a great option for Vegas locals looking for an affordable ski experience. The slopes are at a moderate level, with some icy patches but overall nice, fluffy snow. One downside is the lack of clear signage and direction from staff, especially at check-in and on the trails. Be cautious on the blue square trail by the second ski lift, as there is a split with a steep slope on the right-hand side. I appreciated the convenience of having the gear put on for me, although the system of waiting for your name to be called for skis was a bit odd and tiring without any seating available. Despite these minor issues, the location is beautiful and I would recommend it for a visit.
Had a fantastic weekend at Wynn in Las Vegas! The hotel boasts up-to-date amenities and even the hairspray smells delightful. We spent all our time at the casino and resort because we loved it so much. Don't miss out on dining at Tableau - the food is delicious!
The meat and cheese board at Libertine Social was amazing, as well as the BLT salad. The 8 oz filet mignon was also delicious, although it came out very medium rare despite ordering it medium. The potato side dish was great as well. We both enjoyed the pinot noir wine. Overall, my dining companion claims it was their best meal ever, but that could have been the wine talking. Highly recommend checking out Libertine Social. Now, time to see if they have a dessert menu! 🍨
Had a wonderful dining experience at Bottiglia Cucina & Enoteca. Located within the Green Valley Ranch Resort, the restaurant is conveniently situated near the exit. Upon entering, the restaurant exudes a lively energy with music playing and a central bar area. Our party of seven was seated in a private room equipped with a TV for sports viewing. While the service was a bit slow, the staff made up for it by offering discounts and additional treats. The food was delightful and the portion sizes were generous. To start, they served bread with balsamic and olive oil which was a nice touch. Although the food did take a bit longer to arrive, it was served hot and delicious. We opted for the date menu, which was a fun and satisfying experience. I personally enjoyed the mushroom tagliatelle, which was creamy and flavorful.
Visited Hofbrauhaus Las Vegas and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is unique and very fun. The food and beer were both excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Even though my companion was initially hesitant to try the place, they ended up loving it. Personally, I had never tried German food before and was blown away by how delicious it was. The live music added to the overall experience, and the traditional shot and swat ritual made for a memorable evening. I highly recommend checking out this place and I will definitely be returning in the future.
The food at TGI Friday's in Las Vegas was delicious. Our server was a bit scarce, only checking on us three times during our visit. But hey, it's Las Vegas so we took a gamble on the food and it definitely paid off. We ended up spending $20 and left happy with our meal.
Desert Pines Golf Club has become overpriced and has lost some of its former appeal. The Dye Design course, once known for its tight fairways and challenging greens, is no longer a great value for the price. The recent renovations to the greens are a positive change, but there are still better golf options in Vegas. It would have been interesting to see lights incorporated into the course for nighttime play, especially during the hot summer months. Ultimately, as the golf scene in Vegas evolves, Desert Pines may not be missed. Despite one fan's loyalty to the course, the overall management and value have declined compared to years past.
