The Desert Pines Golf Club was a mix of fun and challenge, but fell short in some areas for the $150 per person price point. The club house had a less-than-pleasant odor of sewer and rotten eggs, which wasn't a great first impression. Despite heading out early to beat the crowds, we ended up behind a group of 5, leading to waiting at every hole as a group of 2. The carts lacked GPS, ball washers, club washers, and markers for distance. The course also had noticeable trash both on the ground and in the water hazards. While the cart girl was friendly, she tended to linger on the fairway, chatting and flirting with players and causing delays. Overall, for the price paid, the experience didn't quite meet expectations.
I did the Happy Half Hour High Roller Experience at night and had a blast. The bartender was friendly, and the nighttime views of the lights were amazing. Despite being distracted by the Sphere, I still had a lot of fun. My pod mates were friendly, and it wasn't too crowded. I also enjoyed getting the souvenir pictures after the ride. Overall, a great experience!
I visited this hotel for the first time since it was the Barbary Coast, and I must say I was impressed. I booked last minute and appreciated the convenient location of the hotel. It was a relief that the self parking was not far away compared to other Vegas hotels. The room was comfortable and served its purpose well. I had interactions with several staff members during my stay, and I have to say they were all exceptional. From the snack bar staff to the servers in the bars, everyone was friendly and provided excellent service. It is worth noting that the hotel has done a great job in hiring quality staff members.
The staff at The Spa at Excalibur went above and beyond to accommodate me when I accidentally booked two separate massages instead of a couples massage. Both masseuses were knowledgeable and provided a great experience. Thank you for your excellent service!
Tom's Urban inside the NY NY Casino is an absolutely phenomenal restaurant. The staff were all warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Our waiter was a delight, with a friendly demeanor and great sense of humor that added to our dining experience. The prime rib dip was divine and I highly recommend it. There are plenty of televisions showing a variety of sports and catchy tunes playing, making for a lively atmosphere. Make sure to stop by for a meal!
