The first standalone boutique hotel located on the famous Las Vegas strip, The Cromwell is a perfect destination for visitors with an eye for refinement.
The Cromwell is Las Vegas’ first standalone boutique located on the famous Strip. With its superbly decorated, sublimely comfortable, and well-serviced rooms and suites, the Cromwell is boutique at its best. The Cromwell Las Vegas is where you will find world-famous chef Giada de Larentiis’ namesake restaurant Giada, and it’s well worth a visit. For years you’ve seen her mouthwatering takes on fine Italian dining on your TV screen, but now you can smell and taste it yourself. Eatwell at The Cromwell offers you delicious and fresh meals to go, such as pasta, salads, coffee, and other drinks. The action never stops at Drai’s pool on the rooftop. By day, it’s a lively pool party, with poolside drink and food service. At night it turns into Drai’s After Hours, a fabulous nightclub that proves you can enjoy the pool when there isn’t a sunbeam in sight! The casino is just as classy as the rest of the venue. Slot machines of every variety are to be found, with a secluded area called the Abbey for those high-limit players. There are a plethora of table games, of course, and Caesars Sportsbook is on-site to handle all your sports gambling needs.
Booking on the The Cromwell website typically offers the best rates and ensures your reservation is being handled directly by the hotel.

I found The Cromwell to be less impressive than expected, especially compared to places like the Flamingo. Although they charge a bit more with the promise of a luxury experience, it ends up feeling quite standard, even compared to more budget-friendly options. My experiences at both the Flamingo and Bally's were more enjoyable. While the rooms themselves didn't particularly stand out, the hotel's location is definitely a plus.

The Cromwell is a charming, smaller hotel situated conveniently on the Las Vegas strip. The decor is tasteful and the place is well cared for. The nightly resort fee was $62.00, despite the absence of typical resort amenities, and parking came in at $20.00 per night. Drinks aren't cheap either, with beers at $10.00 and basic shots at $23.00, reflecting the general costliness of the strip these days. There was no bellhop available, nor was there an on-site taxi stand; guests need to go to the neighboring Flamingo, which still offers full service, to catch a taxi. Dining options were limited, with the only choice being an upscale restaurant upstairs, though its operational status was uncertain. A Starbucks is in the works as a future addition.

The Cromwell has a very appealing interior. Although I didn't stay at the hotel, the experience at the casino was fantastic. The dealer, Tina, was exceptionally sweet, and her smile was what drew us to the table. The food was also amazing.

The lighting in the room was quite dim, and unfortunately, the window was very dirty, detracting from the potentially stunning view of the strip. With only one elevator in operation, the wait times were quite lengthy. On the positive side, the parking was fantastic, the beds were comfortable, there's a charming little casino, and the room was pleasantly quiet.

I used to enjoy my stays at The Cromwell, but my recent experience has changed my perspective. While staying at the hotel, I found a note on my car in the parking garage, accusing me of abandoning the vehicle. Surprisingly, there is no mention on their website about needing to inform the front desk if you’re parking for several days. When I tried to verify the note through social media, I was instructed to contact security. It would be more helpful if the hotel clearly communicated their parking policies, which could prevent such misunderstandings. Running my license plate and cross-referencing it with the guest list would have easily confirmed my status as an active guest.

My experience at The Cromwell in Las Vegas was disappointing for several reasons, but a few stood out. There was a noticeable amount of dust everywhere, including on the headboard, which likely contributed to the congestion I experienced afterward. During my five-night stay over Christmas, on the next to last day, my companion and I sought to explore the area before our late flight. When we approached the front desk to inquire about baggage check services, the manager made an assumption based on stereotypes, suggesting we were there to visit Drai's night club, a hip hop venue, and stated that such services were only available for hotel guests. This was despite the fact that we were indeed staying at the hotel. The desk staff member appeared uncomfortable with the manager's response, as were we. I clarified the situation but was immediately taken aback by the stereotyping. Ironically, I never visited the club during our stay. Upon checkout, I attempted to speak with a manager to report the incident but felt dismissed by another employee. Eventually, I was able to share my experience with two kind and understanding staff members. Unfortunately, no one from the hotel followed up to address the situation, which indicated a lack of concern for guest experiences. As a professional in property management, I value customer service and accountability, qualities that this establishment seemed to lack. If you want to avoid dusty conditions and stereotyping, consider other options.
