We recently stayed at The Strat for three nights. The location was interesting, but we would suggest staying on the hotel grounds alone at night. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, with the upper mall area sparsely occupied by open shops. It seems like the mall had a lot of potential in the past, but it was somewhat disappointing to see it so empty. Unfortunately, during our stay, the restaurants closed early which was unexpected in a city known for never sleeping. On a positive note, the casino was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was decent, although we did have to request blankets. We really enjoyed the trip to the tower, the view was spectacular and definitely worth the discounted price for hotel guests. It seems like we missed out on some of the hotel's more unique features since the upper pool bars were not yet open during our visit.
Saltgrass Steak House in Las Vegas truly captures the essence of a western/cowboy vibe, reminiscent of Outback Steakhouse. The bread provided was delicious, and both the ribeye and sirloin steaks were perfectly seasoned and cooked to a flawless medium-rare. I appreciated that the baked potato was fully loaded. The fried gulf shrimp, while nice in size, lacked the desired crispiness. The service at Saltgrass Steak House was exceptional, and the prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. Overall, a satisfying dining experience.
The food at Casa Calavera was delicious! The chicken tacos were the perfect portion size and the white sangria was fantastic. It wasn't too sweet, which was a pleasant surprise. The day of the dead decorations and music added a fun atmosphere to the dining experience. I would definitely recommend stopping by, especially if you are staying at the Virgin hotel.
I absolutely love the ambiance at STK in Las Vegas. The music selection is on point, giving the restaurant a hip hop club vibe. The video box at the front desk adds a fun touch to the experience. The 50 oz Tomahawk steak we ordered was simply amazing. It was so big that five of us had trouble finishing it, could have easily fed seven. The service was attentive and pleasant, although they did forget a few small details like my coffee and share plates for the steak. One interesting thing to note is that for such a large and busy restaurant, there are only two unisex washrooms, which I found a bit odd. Despite these minor issues, I would definitely return to STK in the future.
Bound in Las Vegas used to be my favorite spot for a peaceful and sophisticated lounge in the heart of the strip. However, it appears that they have combined it with the neighboring sports book, resulting in a less intimate atmosphere. I was disappointed to find that they no longer offer cocktail olives, which meant I couldn't enjoy my usual Sapphire Gibson.
Pizza Rock at Green Valley Ranch Resort in Las Vegas is a must-visit spot if you're looking for delicious food. We tried the Detroit style pizza, fries, and garlic bread, and they were all amazing choices. The pizza had a fluffy and crunchy crust with flavors that melted in your mouth. Next time, we'll be sure to try their pasta. In terms of service, it was average. Our server was polite and friendly, but it did take a bit longer to get our drinks than our food. Located inside Green Valley Ranch Casino, Pizza Rock has a cool vibe with a semi truck prop that fits the theme well. Overall, I highly recommend Pizza Rock if you're in the mood for a tasty meal. While it may be on the pricier side, it's definitely worth it and you won't be disappointed.
Mi Casa Grill Cantina in Las Vegas offers great food and service. One of the best parts is their BOGO Entre deal on Monday through Thursday for the month of March. I rated the atmosphere 3 stars because the staff are constantly running around, which can be a bit annoying and not very relaxing. The prices may be a bit high, but the quality of the food makes it worth it. However, the drinks are on the pricier side.
For those who enjoy soaking up the sun, Park on Fremont's front patio is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. If you prefer a shadier spot, there are plenty of seating options both inside and out back. Reservations are also available for those who prefer to plan ahead. The service is friendly and efficient, especially considering the restaurant's prime location. Highly recommend for a pleasant dining experience.
I have been a loyal customer of Canyon Ranch Grill for over a decade, and I must say that the recent remodel has unfortunately taken away from the once cozy ambience of the restaurant. The feng shui is now off, and the harsh fluorescent lighting and cheap flooring give off a hospital cafeteria vibe. Despite the disappointing aesthetic changes, the service at Canyon Ranch Grill remains top-notch. Manny always goes above and beyond to provide excellent service. While the food may have slightly declined in quality, it still offers a healthy dining option which can be hard to find in Las Vegas. I hope the Palazzo/Venetian can consider improving the aesthetics of Canyon Ranch Grill in the future. The current ambiance leaves much to be desired.
