Located within the Treasure Island Hotel, Gilley's offers fantastic BBQ options for both lunch and dinner. My partner ordered a full rack of BBQ ribs, which was generous in portion. I chose the brisket sandwich and found it delightful! The mac and cheese were delicious, and the service was top-notch. Our meal included some refreshing ice tea. The venue also features a lively bar and saloon with line dancing, which seemed very entertaining. I look forward to returning to Gilley's on my next visit to Las Vegas.

Gilley's BBQ in Las Vegas offers a unique setup with its distinct areas for bull riding and line dancing, complete with live music, separate from the dining area and mini sports bar. There are ample TVs for sports enthusiasts and videos for country music lovers. It's an ideal spot for both small and large groups. The venue also boasts a fantastic view of the strip, and the food doesn't disappoint either. I enjoyed the fried chicken, which came with five pieces, and I'm already looking forward to trying the burger on my next visit.

What I Disliked

I arrived right as Gilley's BBQ opened at noon on a Friday, and during almost an hour there were only about 15 other patrons. Though I'm not sure if that's typical, it definitely made for a pleasant and relaxed lunch. This week in Las Vegas is food week, and proceeds from a special menu go towards the local food bank. Inspired by the cause, I opted for the 3-course menu. To start, I had chili with beans, onions, and grated cheese, which was a fantastic choice over the salad option. The main course was a pulled pork sandwich served with a pickle and fries—the pork was well-flavored and the portion generous. For dessert, I enjoyed a delightful key lime pie, featuring a perfect crust and wonderfully tart filling. The only downside was the BBQ sauce selection. There were three varieties to choose from, and while they were flavorful, none quite matched the standard sauce I prefer for my main dishes. Other than that, it was a great experience.

We booked reservations online ahead of time, but it turned out they weren't necessary. The hostess was cheerful and welcoming, and we were seated almost immediately. Service, however, was a bit slow. We waited nearly 10 minutes before a waitress approached our table, and we placed both our drink and food orders right away. The food arrived in about 15 minutes, but our drinks didn't show up until six minutes after that. The waitress was neither attentive nor pleasant. On a positive note, the food was excellent! The pulled pork sandwich was described as the best ever, with a generous portion size. The brisket and mac and cheese were also delicious. Entertainment-wise, the bull riding was engaging and the line dancing lessons were fantastic!

I would recommend trying the buffalo wings as an appetizer at Gilley's BBQ - they are very authentic. The side dishes that came with the spareribs were fantastic and the full rack of spareribs was huge. The barbecue marinade was good, but I found it to be a bit too strong for my taste after eating half of it. The burger with fries was alright, but I have had better and higher quality spareribs elsewhere. The prices are typical for Las Vegas, but you can probably find similar food for a lower price elsewhere. Overall, I would give it 4 stars.
