Food was delicious. We ordered Cajun Chicken Pasta (comes with shrimp but my daughter asked only Chicken), also I ordered the Friday's Glazed Whiskey Sample, good decision, it's delicious 😋👍🏼 Also we both ordered the strawberry passion fruit tea, recommended (extra for refill). They have burgers option gluten free bun.
Don't waste your time or money. Massage was so so, the time was cut short by 15 minutes and the clock was laying down when they left to room, in hopes we wouldn't realize. You're paraded through the fitness center in your robe to get to the massage room. No where does it state that the spa is not coed so if you're planning to go relax with a significant other you will not be able to. The entire experience was a disappointment. Front desk tried to be helpful but manager could not be reached. Overpaid for services that were not worth $5. Don't bother and leave the hotel to use a spa and enjoy your time and money somewhere else.
We had the bacon wrapped dates and the chicken croquettes. The dates were fantastic, chewy, creamy, and not date flavor forward. If you don't like dates, I recommend you still give these a shot because you couldn't even tell. Personally, I love dates, so I was slightly disappointed they didn't have more date flavor. The chicken croquettes are served with aioli... the texture was nice but lacked flavor. If you enjoy Cuban croquettes, these are completely different. They are made with ground chicken and not a chicken paste. Little salt out of the fryer and maybe a little citrus to brighten up the density of the chicken would help. As for the service, we sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive and fast. I'd go back to taste more of the menu.
Definitely one of the best if not the best steakhouse in Las Vegas. Elegant setting and if it's cool enough, dine outside on the patio where you'll have a show to watch over the pond. Get the donut hole dessert with chocolate covered strawberries.
Nice friendly restaurant. Food was good, mainly Caesar salad!! Good service & good atmosphere! I would recommend.
Oysters were so fresh! I forgot to take a picture. Clam chowder was very good and the shrimp scampi was excellent!! Perfectly cooked shrimp of very high quality.
The Tropicana was a reasonably priced accommodation for a conference I attended at MGM Grand. Was it as fancy and shiny as the newer hotels? No. The room itself was dated but comfortable. The bathroom needed some TLC but was functional and clean. The TVs were dated and very slow to change channels. Overall my experience was neutral. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone ok with a dated experience and wanting to save a few bucks on their Vegas stay. Also to note, someone else reviewed saying this place did NOT charge a resort fee, this is not true. I think my resort fee was ~$40 Note to management, if you are charging a deposit you need to send a receipt for the charge. It’s not acceptable that I had to call to get a receipt emailed to me when you charge my card. Also, the receipt I was emailed for my stay was overly confusing and hard to read.
If you’re a lover of dumplings, Din Tai Fung is a must try. The pork and chicken dumplings did not disappoint. We also had the cucumber salad and greens beans which complemented the dumplings perfectly. A stand out for me was the vegan noodles in spicy sauce and the shrimp and pork spicy wontons. We finished the meal with the chocolate buns. Recommend making reservations. This is a great place to be adventurous to try new things and discover new comfort food.
Bartender Manny refused to acknowledge posted specials and charged $12 for a drink clearly advertised for $8. If Manny is working, go drink somewhere else. I knew the people on the street would try and scam you but I figured ordering the exact thing advertised would result in the exact price advertised. Guess not.
I was at Ellis Island a few times this past week for meals and gambling. I popped in yesterday around 8pm and went to grab a sandwich. Yvonne (the manager) was working and said they were closing in 3 minutes but she was happy to make me a sandwich. She was kind and courteous. I also saw her make another sandwich for a customer that came one minute after opening. Very happy with her service and the sandwich. Love this casino for craps, slots, and the Village Pub. Will always be stopping by every time I'm in town.
One of my favorite pool day parties. Been here multiple time. Never too packed. Even with huge DJ names. Great stage. Great artist lineups. Pool is right in front of the stage and also an out of water dancing area. Great venue, keep it up.
Not a pretentious cigar bar. Plenty of space to spread out. Great ventilation. A cool concept on the TVs of various scenes from "man" movies. I am a cigar veteran, was there with a relative rookie. They catered equally to both of us, my buddy felt right at home too, and learned stuff from the staff. I was there on a personal visit this time, but would consider it for a week event too. Very nicely done.
