My family and I have been fans of Silk Road Asian Bistro for some time now. We always try something new on our visits, but our recent experiences have not been as enjoyable. On a recent visit, we arrived at 8:50 pm after confirming both on the website and with a phone call that the restaurant closed at 10 pm. However, upon arrival, the host was very rude and informed us that they were already closed for the night. When I questioned this discrepancy with the website and hotel staff, the host became visibly irritated and dismissive. This is not the first time we have experienced rudeness from the staff at Silk Road, and it is disappointing to receive such treatment when we make a 40-minute drive to dine there. It is puzzling why a restaurant that doesn't open until 5 pm would turn away customers before 9:00 pm. Despite enjoying the food, the lack of respect from the staff has tainted our overall experience at Silk Road Asian Bistro.
Chose to stay at New York New York in Las Vegas for a different experience away from the strip. Convenient location for Vegas Knights games as it is connected to the arena. Disappointed with the check-in experience as the request for an upgrade was denied. Maid service was lacking when sick, but was able to get clean towels eventually. Resort fees and parking charges were a downside, although parking had unlimited in and out privileges until midnight on the day of checkout. Found the casino to be overpriced, especially for games like craps. Specialty restaurants and stores were nice but expensive, with $9 for a bottle of water seeming excessive. Overall, suggesting MGM Resorts lower prices to encourage more spending and increase profits.
Four Queens in Las Vegas is a dated yet comfortable and clean hotel. The staff, though busy, are helpful and pleasant. Staying on the side away from Fremont provided a quiet atmosphere. The onsite restaurants offer good food options. For new guests, it is recommended to get the All Access casino card to take advantage of 2 for 1 deals at the restaurants, earn points for gifts, and potentially receive money back. There were no concerns about bedbugs during our stay, but it is always important to check for them at any hotel. Overall, Four Queens was a positive part of our first Vegas trip and we would definitely consider staying here again.
The piano player at Eastside Lounge is fantastic, earning a solid 5 stars. However, the service left much to be desired with three waitresses ignoring our table for over 20 minutes while they chatted in a corner of the room. It was disappointing to see both the waitstaff and management neglecting customer needs.
Hogs & Heifers Saloon in Las Vegas is a fantastic spot to pass the time. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, especially with the outdoor fireplaces. The food is top-notch, with standout dishes like the Clam Chowder and Artichoke soup. Definitely a hidden gem that is worth experiencing.
Discovered this hidden gem for a post-work meal and was pleasantly surprised by the food. The Chicago Brewing Company is a cozy spot with a vintage feel located at the Four Queens hotel. I tried the calamari and chicken quesadillas, both of which were delicious. I also enjoyed a michelada and Jerry, the bartender, made a great espresso martini as well. Overall, I had a great dining experience and would definitely recommend this place.
