Visited in July and Jared did an amazing massage! Pedicure was great too. Everything was clean. Staff was polite, prompt, and professional for my appointments. You can enjoy the sauna, quiet room, and hot tubs all day upon entry. It was really nice!
Went to watch the Transformers movie. It was great. I like the theater. Never been there before. I liked that the theater was smaller, so not a lot of people were in there.. Reserving and picking my seats was super easy. I will definitely go back.
Rooms were clean and well kept. Loved the location, only 1 mile from the busy Las Vegas Blvd. Many restaurants and loved the convenience. Valet parking was very fast and friendly. Will definitely stay there on our next trip to Vegas!
Located inside the California Hotel on the ground floor. This is one of my favorite bars to go to when I plan on drinking a night in downtown. They have $3 beers and $4 shots. Great prices for alcohol downtown, especially if you are trying to pregame for a night out! The staff here is great. They are extremely friendly and give off a great vibe. Overall good time here at Holo Holo. Love the name too! If you get hungry after, head over to the restaurant with the oxtail special. It's so worth it.
Update: I just saw the new show and this is my 3rd time seeing Opium overall. The new revamped show is not as good as the old version, comedy seemed forced and was less entertaining. It was just a bunch of random acts all thrown together and rushed with no cohesion or real relation to the space theme. The storyline was completely missing! In this new version, the spaceship storyline doesn't make any sense. The old version was much funnier and more entertaining, which was sadly mostly missing tonight. The captain was excellent in the past as the main host and he was completely absent from tonight's show as well as several other important cast members like Todd and Chip. I hope that it was only for this night. There are several new acts and though they are all talented, I was not wowed as I had been in the past. The bubble guy is still the best of show. The length of the show seemed shorter than the last 2 times I saw it. Not as good as it used to be but still fun entertainment. Not worth the full ticket price but discounted, yes. No bad seats in the theater which is small and intimate. I miss the old storyline, the cast of characters and live band. I suspect the implemented changes was to accommodate the new Super Frico restaurant and I think that was mistake. Also, the chairs zip tied together and uncomfortably close to others. There needs more room between them. Airplane seats have more space. If this is your first time seeing Opium, you would probably enjoy it. If you had seen it in thr past you will most likely be disappointed. I hate to say it but I probably would not see this show again.
Had a lot of fun! This is a very creative place and the staff were lovely. Especially Lisa! We ordered a cheesy flat bread, Mac n cheese, a raspberry glazed salmon, and loaded nachos! They were all divine.
I was a little disappointed with the flavor. The spicy sauce for the chicken and waffle was the best taste of flavors in my mouth from here. The mimosa was not good at all due to the cheap champagne. I ate half my food only because I paid for it. My friend I came with rated her food a 5/10 while I am going 4.3/10. ☹️ we had to ask another waitress to give us our ticket after flagging her down. I always leave a $20 tip but could not leave one today due to only seeing my server once. I am from out of town and this was an experience.
Knowing we’d be in town, we booked a reservation here a month in advance. (If you’re going spur of the moment you might be able to sit at the bar.) Reception was friendly and welcoming. Comfortable seating area but we only waited about 5 minutes. Soon the hostess guided us to a second room towards the back, with a quieter bar area and seating. We were seated in a quiet corner of the room. Relaxed and romantic. Our server, “Gaga”, introduced herself and took our drink order. She was super friendly and helpful. During the meal she was the perfect level of attentive. Drinks came and we already knew what we were going to order, to split. Sourdough bread, Baked Crab Cake, 20 oz dry aged Ribeye steak and Garlic mashed potatoes. The Sourdough Bread was fantastic! I’m a mediocre sourdough baker myself. I’ve made a few “good” loaves, and I’ve bought several artisan loaves. This surpassed anything I’ve ever had. Thin, crispy, perfectly blistered top crust. Inside was moist, flavorful, chewy and perfectly textured. The bottom crust was just chewy enough, without being hard. The Baked Crab Cake was an absolute delight. First, it’s BIG. Like 3” diameter and 1” thick. Easily shareable. It is chock full of chunky, sweet crabmeat. Very nicely seasoned with little filler. To simulate frying, it has a crunchy coating of toasted bread crumbs on the outside. The mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery, with nice chunks of potato, and delicious whole cloves of roasted garlic on top. Perfectly seasoned. Surprisingly, the Ribeye delivered to us, while very flavorful, was a solid “well” rather than the “medium rare” we had asked for. The first bites tasted so good, we were considering just going with it. Just then Gaga dropped by to check on us took one look and insisted on getting a fresh steak, cooked properly. She stopped back a minute later to let us know that the Manager was expediting a replacement steak, along with a fresh order of potatoes. About 2 minutes later the Manager stopped by to apologize for the error and assured us fresh food would be out shortly. No more than 5 minutes later, a kitchen staff member brought out fresh food. THIS Ribeye was cooked to a perfect medium rare and even looked a bit thicker than the first. It was mouth watering tender and delicious. The flavor was deep and robust. Served with a light and tangy Béarnaise sauce. Truly among the top steaks we’ve ever eaten. And, in our opinion, far better than a similar steak we had at the “G” place across the street in NYNY. To conclude the epic meal, Gaga brought us a complimentary serving of delicious Mango Sorbet. Light, fresh and delicious. Perfect! We were satiated and happy when we finished. Too full for dessert. So, we ordered Carrot cake and Chocolate Cream pie to go. When we finally got around to eating them, both were delicious!! Overall, we had a great dining experience at this Bavette. The food was excellent, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere was romantic. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
Yes it is expensive. $40 per person just to reserve a window table with a view. And it is absolutely worth it for a special dinner or just because! Food was delicious, portions are big enough. Skip on the bread so. The service is great too! You will enjoy the evening in this restaurant! The elevator will take you to the second floor and the door will open right in to the kitchen. Don’t be surprised :-)
If you are a fan of KISS, go to Kiss World at the Rio hotel! Gene Simmons has lent about 1/8 of his memorabilia to the museum and changes it out from time to time. I personally have never seen so much merchandise!!! PEZ dispensers, dolls, footballs clothing, lunch boxes, the list is absolutely endless!! While you are there, old videos of the bands early days are playing. Also take an hour and play the KISS themed miniature golf course in black light, naturally, while listening to KISS tunes!! Buy a gold ball, shot glass or stickers to take home with you!
