I recommend Valley of Fire over Red Rock Canyon to anyone looking for an amazing hike in the area. It's only about an hour drive from the strip and the beautiful rock formations, balancing rocks, and vistas make it so worth it.
A local favorite that everyone should try.
If you want a pool party with drunk people and loud music then Encore is not for you. But, anyone seeking a lovely day with beautiful surroundings will adore the pool at Encore Las Vegas.
ETA Lounge is one of my favorite off-strip bars to hang out for an evening. They have done a great job of creating an exclusive vibe, while still catering to locals and those who prefer to stay away from the strip crowds. ETA Lounge offers tons of bar seating with video poker and excellent drinks and service.
As a local, I don't always love visiting the casinos for lunch, but 8 Noodle Bar at Red Rock is one of my favorites. And I will certainly go out of my way to eat here. The shrimp tempura is one of the best I've had in Vegas with its flaky coating that is not greasy like a lot of others. I also highly recommend the five spice udon soup. The broth has amazing flavor and it's not terribly spicy considering the name. The staff is always great and it's a fun atmosphere being located near the casino floor.
Both the South and North Premium Outlets are excellent shopping destinations for anyone looking for bargain prices. They offer all the typical outlet brands, including Nike, Adidas, Gab, etc, but also have a lot of higher-end stores you won't find at a typical outlet mall.
Farm features delicious homemade fare at reasonable prices. I have only ever been for breakfast, but I assume lunch and dinner are just as tasty.
Absolutely fascinating display! To see the inner workings of the human body and the details about it all the components was magnificent. Check this out if you have some time to kill because it's not something you will soon forget.
Main Street Station is a friendly establishment, mostly catering to Pacific Islanders, but obviously, everyone is welcome. The rooms are clean and big with comfy beds. Small fridge, but no coffee maker in the room and no USB ports, which you kind of expect these days. It is easy to get from the parking garage to the elevators, to the room...no trekking through casino with your luggage! Be sure to check out the Berlin Wall relic! Triple 7 has cheap and plentiful pours!
Overall, 108 Drinks isn't anything overly special. The bartenders are nice and the drinks are strong, but it's clearly the view that tops it off. It is nice that they actually pour strong drinks, as you would kind of expect them to cheap you on the alcohol since it's the only bar available on the observation deck.
Marinelli's used to be really good. I would here almost twice a month and always get the fettuccine Alfredo, but lately the quality has been way off. The sauce is watery and the cheese has no taste. I had a bad experience a couple weeks ago, but thought I would give them another try. No more tries. Marinelli's is officially off my list of favorites. Sad to see it go.
I hate to be that person, but I have never actually done a tour with Pink Jeep Tours. However, I have had multiple friends take the tours and have never heard about word about the tour, staff, or prices. They appear to be a very reputable company who cares about the customers.
A really fun atmosphere and the best fried pickles you will ever taste. While it obviously caters to Raiders fans, all NFL fans are welcome and they show a lot of different games on all the Tvs.
OMG! I cannot say enough good things about The Angry Butcher. I was thoroughly impressed with the entire evening. Our waiter was amazing!!! He was very kind and attentive. The food and drinks were outstanding!
We did the scooter tours back in March and had Leo as our tour guide. It's such a fun experience and very easy to get used to the scooters (which I was worried about). I don't know that I would recommend it in the middle of summer because it would be miserably hot, but any other time would be a go for me.
If you are on the strip then there are a lot better places to get alcohol for cheaper. This is basically a giant slushy with one shot of alcohol.
This is one of my favorite local casino bars to visit. They offer mini bowling in an airstream trailer for a very unique experience and atmosphere.
A nice hotel that's clean and close to the strip. Silver Sevens is a great place to catch the Raiders if you are a fan, or any other team that happens to be playing. The rooms are also a lot cheaper than the strip and you're only a couple blocks away.
The Orleans Pool is very relaxing with several different areas to find an open lounge chair. There are usually a few kids splashing in one of the pools and open chairs throughout the complex. This is not a place you will go to enjoy a classic Vegas pool party, but is nice for a quick break if you are staying on site.
The Mermaid Lounge is a really cool place to sip on delicious drinks and enjoy a very unique atmosphere. The aquarium and live mermaids are definitely worth seeing and the drinks are reasonably priced by Las Vegas standards.
I've been to this location a few times and really enjoyed it, but came back recently and it was a terrible experience. The steak was awful quality and our server was non-existant. Won't be coming back anytime soon.
The Tangier is a really comfortable bar to wait for friends getting ready or meet up before heading out for the night. I only give it 4 stars instead of 5 because the price is quite high.
I love this show. I went a while back when it opened, and just saw it again this week and took some friends. It's definitely an "adult show", but it's very funny, and showcases some impressive acrobats. It's done by the same company that created Absinthe, so it's obviously going to be a world-class production. I would recommend seeing Absinthe slightly more than Atomic Saloon Show, but if you have already seen Absinthe, then definitely see Atomic Saloon Show.
