Sherwood Bar

The food was really good here. The portions were big, the taste was great, overall food was perfect. However, my low rating is due to the service. The stools were too high for my mother who had a knee injury and they had booths open. When we asked to move to one and explained why, the hostess seemed to be irritated. Once seated, it took a while for our waitress to come take our drink orders. The michelada I ordered did not taste great. When we were ready to order, we saw our waitress walking around never making eye contact with us and helped others. It was like this the rest of the night. Even when it came time to pay. Our experience wasn't the best.

Everything about this place is amazing! People think "oh its just a sports bar" Let me tell you!! The bartenders are fantastic! They have a delicious steak and mashed potatoes dinner for way less than a normal Vegas steakhouse. The salad was also yummy. The gummy bear cocktail was delicious (Shout out to Fransisco at the bar). Definitely order one of those from him. Everything about my meal and experience was 10 out of 10. Will definitely be back. Cole slaw was outstanding. French fries were good; but, they gave us very few. Fish was fishy tasting, had some darkish meat & was a little greasy. Onion rings had a weird taste. Turtle sundae was good; but, it took a long time to get it. The waiter took our order & didn't return to check on us even to refill our water. All in all, it was not a good experience. When we were ready to leave, the manager asked us how our meal was & we told him. He said he'd like to make it up to us; but, we were leaving the next day.

A hidden gem hidden in the Excalibur. We came in just to grab some quick food an hour before they closed for the night. Not only was the food surprisingly good, but our waitress Janice was also a delight. My buffalo wings were fantastic and my gfs impossible burger was so good that we had to ask twice to make sure it's really vegan. Of course this is not a Michelin star restaurant but for the price you pay you get some more than decent food. I'll be back for sure. Thank you again, you made our night. Edit: We've come back twice since I wrote this. And it was great every time. Janice was also there again and we can say for sure that she is the best person you can wish for to be around you.

The only reason we came here is we won one of the $25 off cards on MyVegas slots on Facebook. The table next to us used one as well. Other than that, it was maybe 25% full when we went around lunch time. The food itself was fine. There were plenty of nachos on my plate and my wife's salmon was good. The 2 star review here comes from the non-existent servers!! Our server was so bad. We never saw her. Had to wait 20 minutes only to get one refill on a $5 Pepsi. Never came by to ask how our food was. I mean it was almost like she was trying to see how bad she could do. We watched her stand off in the back corner of the restaurant with one or two other servers who were just talking away. I was so desperate for a refill, I went up to the bar and asked the bartender who had no customers he was helping if he could refill me, and he told me no, my waitress had too and sent me back to my table. Sad sad sad! Definitely will not be returning next time we're in Vegas unless they step it up on the training and service.
