What I Disliked
I recently dined at Zen Kitchen for both dinner and breakfast the following day. As the only full service restaurant at the WA, I was impressed with the impeccable service. However, I found the food to be lacking in flavor. For dinner, I ordered the wagyu strip which was cooked perfectly but ultimately tasteless. The maitake mushrooms with teriyaki sauce were overly sweet and did not complement the steak. The wine and dessert were the highlights of the meal. The sashimi plate was decent, but not up to the standards I expected from the WA. The next morning, I tried the steak and eggs. The dish was poorly plated and unappetizing. Once again, the wagyu beef was lacking in flavor despite my efforts to season it. The Chino Valley eggs were the only standout element of the dish, with a rich and flavorful yolk. Overall, while I appreciate Zen Kitchen's attempt to let the true taste of the ingredients shine through, I found the lack of flavor to be disappointing.

What I Disliked
It's quite disappointing when you visit a hotel with a reputable name and find that the food quality and prices at Zen Kitchen do not live up to expectations. The water served, whether basic or bottled, has a strange taste and smell due to outdated filters.

My experience at Zen Kitchen was wonderful. The service was attentive and the staff were all very friendly. The atmosphere was calm and peaceful, making it a great way to start the day. I ordered the grilled chicken wrap, which was generously sized and paired perfectly with a refreshing side salad.

Had breakfast here and everything was fantastic. Our server was very attentive, and so was the other staffs in the restaurant. The place was very quiet and was a perfect calm start for the morning. I had the grilled chicken wrap—the size was very big and the side salad was so refreshing and fresh.

This is a convenient location located on the third floor of the Waldorf Astoria. Simple decor with good food. The scallops were amazing would not recommend the halibut.

The menu at Zen kitchen really suits my pallet. I really liked the tuna poke and had it for breakfast two days in a row. I'm impressed that the restaurant curated the fruit bowl such that every piece of fruit in it is sweet. I liked how consistent their food was. I ate there three times during my stay, and the food never disappointed. It's hard to find good Asian fusion restaurants on the strip, and the other American restaurants are too decadent and heavy. Zen kitchen has it just right, and I would prefer eating here even if I'm not staying at the Waldorf Astoria. The view is also decent, across from the shops at Crystals.
