Our visit this evening was exceptional. Don't miss out on the tomato soup dumplings, which are bursting with flavor. The lamb chops were a highlight, boasting tenderness and a mild taste, complemented perfectly by the rich and creamy polenta. The kale apple salad impressed us so much that we'd definitely order it again. However, the Mexican street corn ravioli didn't quite hit the mark; it was decent but could use a tangy spark, like a hint of lime, to elevate it. Regarding happy hour: despite what the website implies, it isn't small bites but a buy-one-get-one-free deal (per person) on specialty cocktails, requiring you to choose the same drink for both. The ambiance far exceeded expectations from the photos. It offers a cozy, romantic, and classy setting that feels upscale without the overly commercial vibe often found in larger hotel venues. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere as a refreshing departure from the norm.

An absolutely fabulous experience was had at Beauty & Essex in Las Vegas. The tomato soup dumplings should not be missed—they are incredibly flavorful. The lamb chops were truly delightful, with a tender and mild flavor, and the accompanying polenta was rich and creamy. The kale apple salad stood out as delicious and is definitely worth ordering again. However, the Mexican street corn ravioli was less impressive, lacking a certain tanginess—perhaps a squeeze of lime would have elevated the dish. A quick note on happy hour: contrary to what the website suggests, it's not small bites. Instead, it's a buy one get one free offer (per person) on the specialty cocktail menu, but you must choose the same drink twice. As for ambiance, it is even more impressive in person than the photos suggest. The atmosphere is moody, cozy, romantic, and classy, providing a high-end experience without the typical "airport" vibe found in many locations within larger hotels. The setting was thoroughly enjoyed and provided a refreshing change from others.

Beauty & Essex in Las Vegas offers a unique dining experience with a hidden entrance behind a legitimate pawn shop. Once inside, the space is surprisingly expansive, contrasting with its discreet exterior. Although the lighting is a bit dim, the décor impresses. The service is attentive and aligns with the standard pricing expected in Las Vegas. The food stands out for its quality, though the drinks are somewhat ordinary, which is unfortunate. The grilled cheese and tomato soup dumplings, their signature dish, live up to the hype. The kale and apple salad is well-prepared, and the brown butter scallops are equally delightful. Would a return visit be worth it? Absolutely, it was a memorable experience.

I have to start this review by saying that our host, Jeffrey, was phenomenal. I've only experienced service of this caliber at Michelin star establishments and a few exceptional places. He truly made the evening special, and I hope he continues to shine. As for the rest of the experience—the atmosphere is captivating. Entering through a pawn shop like a speakeasy immediately sparks curiosity. The decor is elegant without being overwhelming. The food was outstanding. For those who enjoy the sharing plate style of dining, this is a definitive win. The scallops were among the best ever tasted, and the dessert wheel provided a delightful conclusion to the meal. Beauty & Essex is definitely a top spot to try in Vegas!
