Living in eastern Tennessee, my spouse and I miss having access to dim sum, which we loved during our time in Denver. So, during a visit to Las Vegas, we made it a point to find a dim sum spot and discovered KJ Dim Sum & Seafood inside the Rio. For dim sum enthusiasts, the service is impressively quick here, with carts immediately arriving at your table. Although the staff isn't fluent in English, making selections is as simple as pointing at dishes. It would be helpful if a picture menu were provided upon arrival, but we later realized we could access one on our phones. Despite not being able to request a couple of items, what we did try was delicious and reminiscent of past experiences, except for one dish. You can often gauge the authenticity of a restaurant by seeing if people from the cuisine's culture frequent it, and this place was predominantly visited by Asian guests. If you're a fan of dim sum, this is definitely worth checking out. Prices are quite reasonable, and just remember to pull up a menu on your phone to ensure you get exactly what you want.

I absolutely loved KJ Dim Sum & Seafood Chinese Restaurant in Las Vegas. Glad we chose to dine here, especially for the fresh and immediate availability of food. There was only one mystery item on our plate—something called potato lard—that even left my cousin, an experienced Dim Sum aficionado, puzzled. Not sure if it was purely lard, potatoes, or a mix of both. The service was exceptional, and the dishes felt like tantalizing gifts handcrafted by kitchen superheroes. Each bite was chewy and deliciously squishy. They have an amazing pepper tomato sauce, which makes for a great dip or topping—I can’t recall its exact name, but it’s definitely worth trying. Plus, they offer beer. This is easily one of my top two restaurants in Vegas. Five scrumptious stars!

I visited KJ Dim Sum & Seafood Chinese Restaurant in Las Vegas specifically for the dim sum. The prices were higher than average, but the food quality matched that of other dim sum establishments. The most surprising part of my visit was receiving four packets of prepackaged soy sauce when I asked for it. This was a first for me at a Chinese restaurant. On a positive note, they did have red, hot chili sauce available, not in a package. The dining room at KJ is undoubtedly the highlight. It’s elegant, clean, and beautifully decorated, with television screens playing movies and Asian films, which adds a unique touch. The service was impressively fast, and while the staff were rather stoic, it’s typical for many Chinese restaurants. When comparing to Ping Pang Pong Restaurant across the street inside the Gold Coast casino, I found I preferred the dim sum there, even if the atmosphere wasn't as refined as KJ. During lunchtime, KJ has a casual vibe, but I can certainly see it being a great spot to dress up and enjoy a nice dinner in the evening. Overall, KJ Dim Sum & Seafood Chinese Restaurant is a great place, and I would definitely revisit in the future.

I'm not typically a Dim Sum fan, but I have to admit that KJ Dim Sum & Seafood Chinese Restaurant in Las Vegas is pretty good. While there were some dishes I enjoyed more than others, everything was cooked well and presented nicely. The dining area was clean with a pleasant atmosphere. The lighting was good and it wasn't too loud, which made for a comfortable dining experience. One downside is that there isn't a restroom in the restaurant, so you have to go onto the casino floor. Luckily, it's conveniently located nearby. The staff at KJ Dim Sum & Seafood Chinese Restaurant was friendly and attentive. They made sure to check on our table frequently, which was much appreciated.
