Voodoo Steak at the Rio

Voodoo Steak at the Rio in Las Vegas was an amazing experience! The view from the restaurant was great, especially being able to walk outside and take in the city from such a height. The food was delicious overall, with the steak being particularly amazing. The lobster tail was a bit tough, but the variety of appetizers and sides we tried were all very well done. Our server, Jacinto, was also amazing! He took all the teasing from our group in stride and even gave it back to us, which we loved!

The server at Voodoo Steak was outstanding. However, we encountered some issues during our visit. The elevator was not working, so we had to use an employee elevator to reach the restaurant. We were seated 30 minutes late and had to have our drink order replaced because the mango puree was frozen solid. Despite our reservation being at 5pm and our show starting at 7pm, we only received two out of three courses and had to take our dessert to go. The restaurant was relatively empty, yet we still ended up being late to our show. We had hoped to hang out outside after our meal, but there was no lounge area due to construction. Overall, the experience was disappointing despite the nice server and good food.

The food at Voodoo Steak was delicious and the view was fantastic, but what really made our night was Jacinto's exceptional service. I highly recommend visiting this 53rd floor gem, even if you're afraid of heights. The only downside was how long it took for a manager to come over and compliment Jacinto.

However, there was no lounge area available due to construction. Overall, it was a mix of a nice server, good food, and some disappointing experiences.

Please read my honest review. Had high expectations and our time at this restaurant and it failed us at every possible turn. Service bad, drinks overpriced, atmosphere bland nothing there gave any inclination of Voodoo, none of the chairs matched at the tables. Was thrown together and as for the dress code you mentioned on their website, Absolutely non exsistant. My wife and I were disappointed when we saw shorts flip flops and tee shirts. Food and presentation was terrible. Lounge closed since covid nothing on the website and as a matter of fact was advertised on the RIO signage right next to the valet were we parked our car that said it was open. Sincerely we were super disappointed as a couple on a date night.

Dined here for Valentine's. Exceeded my expectations! The food was cooked perfectly with great flavors. We ordered the domestic lamb chops and chicken Marsala dish. The service was exemplary. There's an outside deck to view the Vegas skyline as you wait for your food. The ambiance inside is quiet and intimate with low lighting. I'd definitely recommend trying this place out!
