The Charcoal Room Steakhouse at the Santa Fe Station Casino offers an exceptional dining experience. Despite its location in a casual casino away from the Strip, the quality of the meal is outstanding. The service was excellent, with our server providing assurance that the grill chef was on duty, promising a meal that would exceed expectations. From the drinks and the initial bread basket to the delectable Wedge Salad and Calamari, every course was delightful. The Rib Eye was perfectly cooked to medium rare, while the NY Strip was equally impressive. The Lobster Tail stood out as incredibly tender and flavorful. Complementing the main dishes, the Asparagus and creamy, buttery Mashed Potatoes were a wonderful addition. The Creme Brûlée served as the perfect conclusion to an impeccable dining experience. All staff members were friendly and attentive, ensuring a seamless evening. For an unforgettable visit, inquire if the same server and chef will be working during your dining reservation.

I visited The Charcoal Room for the second time, and the atmosphere was anything but friendly. We were greeted in an unwelcoming manner, and Daisy seemed displeased about accommodating a member of our party who has a disability. The waitress lacked friendliness during both order-taking and greeting. She neither offered refills nor inquired about our satisfaction with the food. Speaking of which, the food was quite bland and lacked seasoning, despite being cooked properly. The sole positive aspect was the friendly service from the staff member who brought us our food. Overall, the experience felt unwelcoming, and it may deter me from returning.

Visited The Charcoal Room for a special anniversary dinner and were absolutely delighted! The service was prompt and attentive, and the steaks were both sizable and mouth-wateringly delicious. It was truly a wonderful dining experience. A humorous moment occurred during our meal when a mojito was ordered. While it was thoroughly enjoyed, it seemed to have a surprisingly strong effect. When the check arrived, we discovered they had used Bacardi 151 as a substitute! No wonder it was so potent!

Visited The Charcoal Room for our anniversary and it exceeded our expectations! The service was quick and attentive, and the steaks we ordered were not only generously sized but also incredibly tasty. It was truly a wonderful dining experience. There was a humorous moment during our meal when my partner ordered a mojito and found out later that it had been made with Bacardi 151 instead of the usual rum. No wonder it had such a powerful effect! Overall, we had a great time at The Charcoal Room and would definitely recommend it to others.

My second visit to The Charcoal Room left much to be desired. Upon arrival, we were met with a less than friendly greeting from our waitress. The seating process was unpleasant, especially when accommodating a member of our party with a disability. Throughout the meal, the waitress lacked warmth and courtesy, failing to check on us or offer refills. The food itself was disappointing, lacking in seasoning and flavor despite being cooked properly. The only positive aspect was the friendly Mexican worker who served our food. Overall, the experience felt unwelcoming and I may not return in the future.

I have been to The Charcoal Room about 10 times now and I must say, it has consistently impressed me. I wasn't too thrilled with my first visit years ago, but after giving it another chance, I have been hooked ever since. The food quality and service here are top-notch, and I love the relaxed atmosphere that doesn't require dressing up. I won't go into detail about every dish we've tried, but since that first visit, we have enjoyed a variety of items including Oysters, Shrimp Cocktail, Lamb Chops, and many different cuts of steak. I have attached some pictures from a recent visit to give you an idea of the delicious food they offer. The service at The Charcoal Room is always outstanding, and the prices are very reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food you receive. The only slight disappointment was with the Chef's Special Crab Cakes, which I felt were a bit pricey for just an appetizer. Overall, I highly recommend The Charcoal Room to anyone looking for a great meal in a casual setting. The décor could use a refresh, but it certainly doesn't take away from the overall dining experience. And the fact that you can use meal comps from the Santa Fe Station makes it even more appealing. Don't miss out on this gem in Las Vegas!
