What I Disliked

Avenue Cafe at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas is an excellent spot for dining within the resort. The Patty melt and omelets we tried were delicious and offered at reasonable prices. Although there was a line, it moved swiftly, and we were seated quickly, receiving friendly and efficient service. It's also great that they offer a gluten-free bread option.

What I Disliked

Avenue Cafe, located within the sprawling MGM complex, is one of the few spots to grab breakfast inside the building, so I decided to give it a shot despite its concerningly low ratings. Regrettably, the reviews were accurate. While the menu seems appealing, the food falls short. I tried the salmon bagel, thinking it would be a safe choice, but it turned out to be quite the opposite. The sandwich was poorly balanced with a hefty chunk of salmon that was tough to chew, stale bagels, and an overpowering amount of rich cream cheese. Additionally, the random herbs did not complement the dish at all. To add to the strangeness, I was served a couple of poached eggs on a separate plate, which seemed completely out of place. The coffee was equally disappointing, with a burnt plastic taste. I left feeling very dissatisfied and still hungry. I definitely can't recommend this place.

We visited on a bustling Saturday morning, and the line extended nearly to the casino floor. Despite the crowd, it took just 10-15 minutes to get seated. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and personable. Our group of nine received our food promptly, and everything was served hot. The portion sizes were pleasantly surprising. In Las Vegas, it's common to pay the same amount for smaller portions, but here the portions were generous and reasonably priced, especially considering the quality.

My friends and I visited Avenue Cafe on a busy Saturday morning. Despite the long line that nearly reached the casino floor, we only had to wait 10-15 minutes to be seated. The wait staff was friendly and welcoming. We had a group of 9 people and our food was served quickly and hot. The portion sizes were surprisingly generous, especially considering the usual standards in Las Vegas. The quality of the food matched the quantity, making for a satisfying dining experience.

Avenue Cafe is a convenient spot to grab a meal while visiting the MGM Grand. The sit-down style is a nice touch, and the option to charge to the room is convenient. We sampled several items during our stay, and each was generously portioned and well-prepared. Despite being busy, the service was efficient. Prices are on the high side, but that's to be expected in Vegas.

What I Disliked

Avenue Cafe really impressed me with their delicious food. I visited three times and was mostly satisfied each time. The avocado toast with poached eggs and parfait was a highlight, with fresh fruit and perfectly sweet yogurt. The standard eggs, bacon, and toast were cooked to perfection, but the home fries were a miss. The Belgian waffle was huge and fluffy, requiring a friend to help finish it. My last visit was a bit disappointing as my server was not very attentive. However, the food was still great. Overall, Avenue Cafe may be a bit pricey for a café, but the excellent service and tasty dishes make it worth it.
