What I Liked Most

What I Disliked

Don Vito's is a fantastic Italian restaurant located in the SouthPoint Casino. I recommend making a reservation and asking for a cozy booth. The service is excellent and they offer a great selection of wines, including a reasonably priced Edna Valley Cab. Guests staying at the hotel may be able to take advantage of a coupon for free wine. Despite some reviews mentioning the restaurant being dark, we didn't find it to be an issue. The spacious layout prevents it from feeling cramped, even during peak hours. The bread basket and accompaniments are delicious, and the meatball appetizer is freshly made and served with a tasty tomato sauce. The table-side Caesar Salad with optional anchovies is a must-try. The Eggplant Parmesan was perfectly cooked and not at all mushy. The Linguine Clams dish was also a hit, with over 20 clams in shells and a flavorful white sauce. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Don Vito's and will definitely be returning. I highly recommend giving it a try.

The key to snagging a table at Don Vito's is making a reservation in advance. The prices are reasonable for a more upscale dining experience. I tried the Don's Margarita for $8.75 and found it to be delicious. The Chicken Angelo dish was well-cooked and came with soup or salad and a side of veggies or pasta for $26. The marinara sauce on the pasta side lacked flavor, but the Caesar salad was a standout, despite being a bit overdressed. The $7 garlic bread appetizer was a definite highlight of the meal. The ambience is calming with soft lighting, and the service by the waitstaff was pleasant. While I wouldn't make a special trip to dine here, I recommend trying it out if you're staying at South Point and looking for a convenient option.

Recently tried Don Vito's for the first time and have already returned. The ambience is pleasant, and the free bread was delicious. The meatballs were a bit small for the price, but the Caesar salad and lasagna were both very good. I always add pepper flakes for extra spice. The service was excellent, with friendly staff and timely course timing. South Point is a great casino with ample free parking, which is a definite bonus. Will definitely be returning in the future.

Tried Don Vito's for the first time a couple weeks ago and have already been back. Made a reservation the first time and was able to walk in the second time, but it quickly got busy. The ambience is nice and the free bread was delicious. The meatballs for appetizer were a bit small for the price. Had the Caesar salad and lasagna for main course both times and it was quite good. I always add some pepper flakes for extra spice. The portions were decent. Service was really good, everyone was friendly. Drinks were refilled without asking and the timing of the courses was spot on. South Point is a great casino with free parking, which is a bonus. Will definitely be back.

A wonderful Italian restaurant within the SouthPoint Casino. Avoid any wait and make a reservation and request a booth. Cozy round booths! Excellent service! Great wine choices, including a delicious Edna Valley Cab at a decent price per bottle. For those staying in the hotel, I understand there is a coupon available for free wine. Other reviewers said the restaurant was dark. We didn’t find it dark at all. It is a bigger sized restaurant so it doesn’t feel cramped or overcrowded even when busy. Delicious bread basket and accompaniments. The meatball appetizer (photo only shows one; sorry, we devoured the others) was delicious and fresh made - not frozen - with a delicious tomato sauce. Caesar Salad is assembled and tossed table-side, with optional anchovies. Just delicious! The Eggplant Parmesan was perfectly done - not mushy at all. It was fresh and delicious! The Linguine Clams were delicious also! Over 20 clams in shells, plus more in the sauce and noodles. None were rubbery in the least! I went for the white sauce, which was a good choice , as it really let the flavors come through! We enjoyed every morsel and every minute at Don Vito’s. We will be back. I would highly recommend.

The best way to get a table here is to make a reservation. The prices aren't bad considering it's a nicer sit down restaurant. I got the Don's Margarita - it was yummy and only $8.75. The Chicken Angelo was decent and not dry - it was $26 and you also get soup or salad and a side of veggies or pasta. The pasta side had marinara sauce that wasn't flavorful, but the Caesar salad made up for it, although the amount of dressing was a little overwhelming. The garlic bread appetizer was $7 and was a must get... Honestly my favorite part of the meal. The atmosphere is relaxing with dim lighting and the waiters were very pleasant. Even though it was nice, I would recommend trying it if you're staying at South Point and want something convenient, but I wouldn't go out of my way.
