The rides, including X-Scream, Insanity, and Big Shot, all offer an unparalleled sensation found nowhere else in the world. Because affordable pricing is offered for each ride, the only thing stopping you from this experience is yourself.
Tame is not a word you will use to describe any of these rides, but compared to the others, Big Shot is the tamest. Big Shot shoots passengers straight up the tower’s mast at a speed of 45 mph and a force of four G’s. After the ascent, Big Shot forces you back to Earth as a weightless sensation takes over your body. At a height of 1,081 feet above the Las Vegas strip, Big Shot gives riders a perspective of Las Vegas few have ever witnessed.
If you think Big Shot sounds intimidating, wait ‘til you see X-Scream. Strap into this ride and be prepared to hang 27 feet over the ledge of the famed Stratosphere tower. After accelerating to the end of the track, X-Scream gets your heart pumping even faster by quickly dropping its riders as if the track has broken. This is not for the faint of heart.
You may be asking how it can possibly get any worse. Let us enlighten you. Insanity straps riders in for what could be the most exhilarating thrill ride in the world. Riders of Insanity are extended 64 feet over the edge by a large mechanical arm and offered a short lived moment of peace before Insanity gets insane. Insanity spins riders at a force of over 3 G’s, forcing passengers to an angle of 70 degrees. Open your eyes and you are looking directly at the ground located more than 900 feet below you. This is one Las Vegas attraction that must be experienced to truly be appreciated.

What I Disliked
The rides at The STRAT were a blast. They are a must-do for tourists looking for a one-of-a-kind experience in Las Vegas. The elevators, each operated by a human, take you to various floors where you can take amazing pictures. Even if you're not interested in the rides, just going up to the tower is worth it.

As a roller coaster enthusiast and thrill rider, I have to say that The STRAT thrill rides left something to be desired. Insanity was not worth it unless you enjoy spinning rides, X-scream was only worth it if you’re on the outside or in the first row, and Big Shot, while the best of the three, felt like any other big drop ride at a major park just with the added bonus of being 1,000 feet in the air. The $30 for one ride may not be worth it for everyone. I opted for the unlimited pass and found myself riding Big Shot 10 times in a row, as it was the most thrilling option for me. Overall, it was a fun bucket list item to check off, but I didn't find the rides to be as exhilarating as I had hoped.

I recently stayed at The STRAT Hotel and experienced their thrill rides. The observation deck on the 108th floor offers amazing views, and the rides definitely get your heart racing. I tried all of them except the virtual wired run down the building, and I have to say, they were pretty frightening. I'm not sure if I could do them again, but overall, I had a great time at The STRAT.

The STRAT Thrill Rides are a fun experience for tourists. The unique elevators, controlled by a human, take you to different floors for a great view and photo opportunity. If you're not into rides, it's still worth purchasing a ticket to go up the tower for the views alone.

We stayed 2 nights at the Strat Hotel a few years back. There is an observation deck on the 108 floor and the crazy rides. We did them all but never except the virtual wired run down the building. They get the heart racing. I don’t think I could do them again. Frightening. We enjoyed our time here.

Strat rides were fun. A good one time experience tourist thing to do. Different elevators that are controlled by a human take you to different floors. It's definitely worth going up there to take pictures and only buying the ticket to go up the tower if you aren't into the rides.
